A Tour-Filled Week

This week, from Tuesday to Friday, was filled with tours and sightseeing and at times it felt like we were never going to get to sit down! But we did, eventually, and it was an awesome week!

On Wednesday, we saw The Tempest at Shakespeare's Globe Theater, and it was truly amazing and such a great experience! It was a confusing play to follow, but still really interesting, and Colin Morgan (Merlin from Merlin) played Ariel and did a fantastic job. On our way there and back we also crossed the bridge the Death Eaters destroy in the 7th movie, and St. Paul's Cathedral, which was featured in Mary Poppins! It was a fantastic evening with friends and lots of laughs.

On Thursday, we had our tour of Westminster Abbey! It was really interesting and our tour guide was really good. The Abbey was super crowded but we made it through okay. It was a very beautiful church and I really loved all the history of it!

That night was also the first night I actually made a legit meal for myself, which was, of course, the laziest possible one I could have cooked: (yet super delicious.)

Friday was our first test of the summer, and directly after was our tour of the Inns of Court! We visited three out of the four (Lincoln's Inn, Inner Temple, and Middle Temple), as well as Temple Church, the Royal Courts of Justice, the Temple Bar Memorial, and so much more.

Our entire tour was around 3 hours, and was lots of walking but was really informative! For example, I learned how the Knights Templar had a connection to the Middle & Inner Temples, since the headquarters of the Knights Templar was in that land! They also built the original Temple Church, which was really gorgeous and had a few tombs of men who were associated with the Templars! So that was cool.

Each place we went was super cool and it is awesome to learn so much about London's History!
